Happy Thanksgiving:)

At exactly 12:59, my family was done with our Thanksgiving Feast!

It was perfect- we had turkey, greenbean casserole, cranberries, bread, sweet potatoes, the whole ordeal. (Although I realized after everything was washed and put away- I forgot to try the turkey!) Everything went fairly smoothly, except, well I've always been a little clumsy and as I was trying to pour some onions on my casserole, well, the whole can came out. But that was about the only mishap we had!
It's a little hard to tell, but that's some of the mess I made of those onions!

We've been decorating bits and pieces of our house for a while now with little fall trinkets and what not. I've always loved decorating for the season:)
Aren't these napkins the cutest?

Kayla and I dress up this cat for every occasion. It has an outfit for everything!

So, today and every day, I am thankful. I am thankful for the little things, like how I have a wonderful older sister who I can look up to and talk to about boys and do girly things together. Like how my family and friends have tons of inside jokes that make me giggle every time. Like how the weather is gorgeous today. I am thankful for my parents that care about me way too much, and for my extended family too. I am thankful I have a roof over my head, food to eat, a warm bed to sleep in at night (and sometimes during the day!). Mostly, I am thankful that I know Jesus Christ, have accepted Him to lead me in every direction of my life. I am thankful that He died on the cross for me, the least likely to deserve His love and mercy.

I am thankful for life!

Makeup Breakup

Well, I was reading SUSIE the other day, and came upon an article called... Why I Stopped Wearing Makeup. It caught my attention, so I read it carefully, word for word. It was about a woman who decided to stop wearing makeup until she completely felt beautiful without it. It took five months.

At first it was really difficult, and by the third month, she said not only were the flaws of her face exposed, but she felt as if everything else about her was too. But, it was a good thing. She realized that it not only helped other girls see that it's okay to have flaws and be unique, but it truly let her accept herself just the way God made her.

At the end of the article, it challenged the readers to take up the Makeup Breakup Challenge- and stop wearing it. So, I've decided I will. For the next five months (Or however much time it takes me to come to that acceptance) I'm breaking up with makeup!

(And I challenge you to too!)

Sweet Sixteen !

Well October 30 (The day before Halloween!) was Kayla's birthday. She's sixteen! Hard to believe. Growing up, that was always "the year" we looked forward to. It was the year we could "officially" date, could drive, weren't freshmen in high school anymore... so hard to believe the year finally came for one of us!

On Friday night (Her actual birthday) she had all her friends over for a party.

Cici, Ann, Kayla, Becca, and on the floor Megan! haha

Her cakes(: I iced the vanilla, and Mom, Megan, and Cici iced the chocolate. They were both great!

Then they had smores(:

So, Saturday night, we celebrated with the family. We went the Cheesecake factory. (The food is HUUGE there. I couldn't eat a quarter of my dinner)

(From left to right) Our Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Ken, Mom, *Kayla*, me, and Dad!

Kayla and I outside of the Cheesecake Factory.

Well, it was fun celebrating... and now I feel super young compared to Kayla since she's 16 and I'm still 14! ;)
