Church Camp 2009! (best yet)

Yesterday I got home from church camp at carolina creek! It was TOTALLY amazing and I am so grateful I got to go! God did great things... almost 30 people surrendered their life to Christ!! Now THAT was an AMAZING night! It was right after the speaker, Tim Bach, basically explained how he got to where he was. And let me tell you, by the time he was done, I don't know if there was a dry eye in the house. He made a lot of people appreciate what they have a lot more and realize that no matter what trial God has given them, or what pain they have experienced... not only is it not the worst that's out there, but that God can turn around ANYONE'S life, no matter what!
When I heard his story, I felt like someone was doing some serious tugging at my heart. And just watching him tell his story in front of everyone, totally filled up with God, definitely widened my eyes to how amazing and indescribable God really is. Because he turned that man's life around!

Basically it was a great week, and I know I got a whole lot out of it. I think my favorite "theme" was this: If a moment doesn't become a movement, then the moment means nothing. Which is basically saying that if you're on this spiritual high with God but then don't do anything about it, that high meant nothing. And I know that week is definitely going to change some things in my life!
This is the outdoor chapel, my 2nd favorite place at camp. (My favorite is the worship area.. wish I had taken pictures.. it's great!) It's a really beautiful place... a lot of great things happened there!
This is Rachel. We've talked a little before, but I really got to know her at camp. Rachel is great! I love her humor, and she's very sweet. We're going to be living together again in about a week for my mission trip to Kentucky!
Isn't this cool? Cat and I took 45 minutes out of the day to relax in the cabin so she could do this to my hair! I had a hard time staying still :) but loved the result! :)
I am so thankful for what God did in everyone's lives last week! =D Talk to you soon!

Last Day of School :(

Last night I watched the ring! My parents said it was scary, but every time they've said that in the past I wasn't scared. Well, props to them. This movie WAS pretty darn scary, but worth seeing!! :) (Although I did lose some sleep last night!)
I know, I know, the last day of school has come and gone but since I didn't have this blog back then I'm going to post some of the pictures now. :)
This was one of the first pictures I took. Emily is probably the most crazy-fun girl you'll EVER meet!
Okay don't make fun of me for putting up a picture of my algebra teacher. ;) Coach Collins is AWSOME!
On the left is one of my good friends, Wes. He's the strongest christian guy (my age!) that I know. On the right is Brandon.. I promise he doesn't always look like that! (You should see some other pictures I have of him though, they're REALLY funny!) o.O
This is Taylor, a really good friend of mine. She's amazing! :)Ifrah! She is definitely one of my best friends... you'll never meet anyone nicer! :)
Chelsea, Ifrah, Me, and Hannah! Poor Hannah had her eyes closed, but this is the only picture I got of her!
Definitely my favorite picture. =D

Finally!

Who knew my desktop publishing class would actually come in handy?? ;)

I've been wanting a blog for some time now, and finally settled on blogger when my friend, Katie, showed me hers. (Thanks bunches Katie!) I've been messing around with the settings for about a week now, and finally decided that even though its not perfect, I'll go ahead and make my first post! =D I'll probably make lots of changes, but it really doesn't matter since I don't know if anyone will actually be reading this. But thats okay. :)

So yesterday (After much anticipation!) I got invisalign. (For those of you that don't know, invisalign is basically like invisible braces) For a while it just felt sort of uncomfortable, but after about 5 hours it really started to hurt. (Even after two advils!) On the bright side, when I picked up Taylor to go see that new movie Imagine That (umm.. NOT worth seeing, BTW) she said she couldn't even tell! I got the same response from my family, so that's good. (Mom said she wants to get "family pictures" soon and I didn't want people staring at my teeth asking what was in my mouth??) :)

Ah... the joys of being a teenager.
